Mt. Edith
Simon and I went off to attempt Mt. Louis, while Sue took a rest day. Well, we didn't even get close. Missed the traverse from Edith to Louis, which apparently takes off shortly after leaving the main trail, and wandered up high on the shoulder of Edith. Where we could see Louis a long way off across steep gullies. So we pulled out the book (glad we threw it in the pack!) and saw the S. Face route on Edith was just above us. Doesn't look too hard, let's just do this!

So we scrambled up, start was obvious, at the bottom of this huge infinite gully. A whole lot of the same moves, on somewhat loose feet and solid handholds - the face to the left was beautifully clean but unprotectable. What, you want to have it all?? Finished and descended the easy trail off, plenty of daylight left. Well, it's not Louis, but it was a decent day out in the mountains.
